Police are looking for a 60-year-old tourist who was last seen in the Highlands on Tuesday.

Timothy Rosser, a US tourist, was last seen in Glencoe in his black MH hire car on the 19th, and police have said it is “out of character” for him to have not contacted his family.

Police also said he had failed to check in to pre-booked hotels.

The force also noted his hire car’s registration plate was LE75 FNO.

He has been described as white, 6ft 2in, slim, with short white hair.

Sergeant Lewis Macleod, Police Scotland said: “Timothy has failed to check in to his pre-booked hotels in the area and it is out of character to not be in touch with his family.

“We are appealing for anyone with any information on his whereabouts, or who may have been hillwalking in the area on 19 May and seen anything which may assist our searches, to please come forward as soon as possible.”
